Turkey Trek 5K

Before you gear up for your big Thanksgiving feast, come run the Turkey Trek 5K along Pemberton Park's nature trails in Salisbury, Maryland. The race winds through Pemberton Park's forests, meadows and wetlands.

You can even try to take on the challenge and outrun Mr. Gobble Gobble! Enjoy refreshments and holiday pie will be available after the race (it is Thanksgiving, after all)! There will be chip timing again this year.

All proceeds from the race go toward Pemberton Nature Camp and other environmental education programs. Thank you for your support of the park.

• Date: Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023 (Thanksgiving)
• Time: Check-in begins at 7 a.m. Race starts at 8 a.m. Warm up with Driven Physiotherapy before the race.
• Registration Fee: $35 for early registration; $40 after Friday, Nov. 10, 2023

Registration

• Runners registered by Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 will be guaranteed a long-sleeved race shirt.
• Preregistration is available through Friday, Nov. 17, 2023 at 5 p.m.
• Preregister Online - Closed for 2023
• Preregister In Person: Bring a completed registration form and payment to the Wicomico Civic Center Box Office (500 Glen Ave., Salisbury, MD; Open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
• Register on race morning between 7-7:45 a.m. Cards only; no cash.

Packet Pickup

Preregistered runners can pick up their race bib and shirt at the Wicomico Civic Center box office on Tuesday-Wednesday, Nov. 21-22, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Shirts are only guaranteed if registered by Nov. 1; others are first-come, first-served. Packet pickup is also available race morning.

Awards

There will be awards for the overall male and female winners, for the best Thanksgiving costume and for first through third place in the following categories:

• 14U M, 14U F
• 15-19 M, 15-19 F
• 20-29 M, 20-29 F
• 30-39 M, 30-39 F
• 40-49 M, 40-49 F
• 50+ M, 50+ F
