Centennial Village Playground
Centennial Village Playground is located just off Nanticoke Road inside the Centennial Village neighborhood. It is a quiet, nicely shaded park with tennis courts, a basketball court, a multi-use field, and a playground area. The playground includes two swing sets (including baby swings), a large sandbox, and a play set designed for children ages 5-12. The park also has a picnic table, several benches, and a bike rack.
With most of the playground area nestled under large shade trees, it is an ideal spot for families looking for an easy outing on hot summer days. The equipment is well suited for children of varying ages and the tennis and basketball courts provide an activity for older children and adults. Centennial Village Playground is one of just a few parks located along the Westside corridor, making it especially convenient for families living in the surrounding neighborhoods.
This park was funded in part by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Program Open Space Grants.
