Pittsville Ballpark and Playground
Located in the heart of Pittsville, Maryland right next to the Elementary School is the Pittsville Ballpark and Playground. Two entrances provide easy access to different areas of the park. The one on Main Street provides access to the lighted softball field and two soccer fields. The entrance on Rt. 353 by the school provides access to the playground and basketball courts. The large playground area includes a playset with several slides, swings, monkey bars and climbing equipment. The Pittsville Ballpark and Playground is not maintained by the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism but is still considered a county park as significant funding was provided in its development through Maryland's Open Space Program.
This park was funded in part by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Program Open Space Grants.
