Women's Volleyball League

Looking for a great way to stay active in the cold winter months? Sign up for one of our women’s volleyball leagues! Wicomico County offers two exciting women’s volleyball programs for players of all ability levels. The women’s 3-hit program is a traditional volleyball program that takes place on Monday and Wednesday nights from November to February. The Women’s 6-hit program is a unique style of volleyball that uses modified rules (such as 6-hits to clear the net) to keep everyone in the game. The 6-Hit program takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the winter. Both leagues utilize different gymnasiums in the Wicomico County school system and the leagues consist of at least 15 regular season games followed by league playoffs.

• Registration: August-early November; Registration deadline for 2011: TBD (early November)
• Program Fees: Women’s 3-Hit Fee for 2011 is $450 team fee and a $45 player fee.
• Age Group: Female players ages 15 years and older
• Date(s): November to February
• Time(s): 3-hit games - Monday and Wednesday evenings
• Location(s): Wicomico County school facilities
• Details: You must register with an existing team and have team captain’s approval; to get connected with a team, call the Recreation Department for more information. Warm-up and game balls will be provided by the County.
