Mardela Playground and Ball Park
The Mardela Playground and Ball Park is located in the heart of Mardela Springs, Maryland, right next to the Fire Department and Town Hall on Station Street. The community park has a large playground area, a basketball court, a lighted softball field with bleachers, and a pavilion with several picnic tables. The playground area includes a large playset with slides and climbing equipment along with swings and a merry-go-round. The softball field, Raymond E. Robinson Jr. Memorial Ball Park, is home to Mardela’s local youth teams and hosts many games throughout the summer.
The Mardela Playground and Ball Park is not maintained by the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism but it is still considered a county park as significant funding was provided in its development through Maryland’s Program Open Space.
