Volunteer and Instructor Information
Volunteers and instructors are needed for youth and adult programs during afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Programs activities include Arts and Crafts, Sports, Science, Homework Help, Music, Drama, Dance, etc. Junior Counselor positions are also available during After School Program and Summer Camp for volunteering teens. Financial assistance is available for all youth programs for qualifying families. Please contact the center for more information.

After School Program
When: Monday to Friday, August 31st to June 2010

Where: Westside Community Center
Cost: Members: $55/month per child / Non-members: $65/month per child
Children in kindergarten through eighth grade can take part in the after school program and participate in sports, games, arts and crafts, computer time, homework help and much more! Teen Nights
When: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Join the Westside Community Center for open climb nights on their new 25ft Indoor Rock Climbing Wall! The WSCC Rock Wall provides a safe and exciting recreational outlet for participants of all ages. This adventurous and captivating activity gives participants the opportunity to travel beyond their comfort zone to develop self confidence, personal trust, courage, and self-esteem. There is always something for everyone to enjoy during the Senior Program. Seniors can sit back and talk with friends over coffee or participate in group activities like bingo, puzzles, card games, arts and crafts, movies, computer classes, and even field trips. Bivalve Station Computer Lab
When: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 10:00 A.M.6:00 P.M

Cost: Free for members; $2 per day for non-members

Bingo Night
When: Starting March 5, 1st Friday of Every Month

Cost: $10 to play regular Bingo.

Westside Summer Camp
When: June 21- August 20
Time(s): 10:00 A.M 4:00 P.M.
Cost: Members: $55/week per child / Non-members: $65/week per child
Ages: K-8th Grade
Come join us for a summer full of fun and adventure on the Westside! Campers will enjoy wacky theme weeks and a wide variety of activities in our air conditioned gym and computer lab. This year will be full of camper favorites such as swimming, box hockey tournaments, capture the flag, horse-back riding, gardening club, climbing wall and plenty of face painting! Plus, campers will take weekly trips to Cedar Hill Park where we will BBQ, go fishing and crabbing, and enjoy the playground. We will also take tons of field trips including swimming, the Zoo, Assateague, Frontier Town, Wallops Island and more. For more information, please contact C.R. Soccer Camp - Teen Conditioning and Pre-Season Preparation

Designed for teens, the Westside Community Center soccer camp provides great opportunities for them to really step up their game. Soccer Camp - Youth Instructional Camp
When: August 16 -20

Ages: 6 - 11 years old
As part of our player development program, this camp provides an introduction to all aspects of the game such as positioning, tactical play, and communication. It continues to help participants develop as it emphasizes the mastery of basic offensive and defensive skill techniques and how they are applied to match play.
