Maryland Basic Boating Safety

Maryland Boating Education Law states that any person born after July 1, 1972 may not operate a numbered or documented pleasure vessel in the waters of the state of Maryland, without first obtaining a certificate of boating safety education. Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism will offer a Maryland Basic Boating course periodically throughout the year.

A written test will be given at the end of each class and those passing will receive a certificate of boating safety education. On the first night of the course, attendees will receive an informational packet containing the required workbook. Advanced registration is required.

Registration: Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
Program Fee: $20.50 per person
Dates: May 22-24 or June 19-21 (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
