Policies and Forms

Photo Policy
Pictures taken of participants in our programs may be used in our publications and our web page. If you do not wish for your or your child's photograph to be used, please contact the Department at (410) 548-4900.

Cancellations
When weather related emergencies are declared in Wicomico County and schools are closed, no programs will be held. Announcements will be made on the local radio stations regarding evening and weekend activities. You can hear a recorded listing of current program cancellations due to inclement weather by dialing our cancellation line at 410-548-4900 ext. 5.

Child Pick-up
Arrive to pick up your child five minutes before the program's scheduled closing. Failure to pick up your child on time may result in additional fees for lateness (if applicable) or in his or her removal from the program.

Special Needs
The Department is committed to providing accessibility for individuals with special needs and strives to provide equal, integrated participation in all programs, activities, and services. We welcome the questions, comments and concerns of parents and interested community members regarding accommodating special needs. If you or your child has a special need, please indicate it on the registration form.

Refund Policy
The request for a refund due to withdrawal from a program or lease arrangement must be made in writing to the Department and must be received no later than one week prior to the first day of any activity (three weeks for pavilion rentals). All refunds granted are subject to a 10% fee for processing. Request for refunds received later than the established deadline will not be honored. Approved refunds will be sent to the registrant within 30 days from the date of approval.

Eligibility and Fees
Wicomico County recreation programs are open to both residents and non-residents. Non-residents will pay an additional $5 to participate. The first two weeks of registration for all programs are open to Wicomico County residents and Wicomico County teams (less than 3 non-residents) only.

The eligibility policy will be reviewed annually with consideration given to the availability of facilities, quality of the programs being offered, and the administrative effort required to organize the programs.

If you have questions on eligibility or fees, please call 410-548-4900 ext. 114 or e-mail Andy Wisk at awisk@wicomicocounty.org.
