Summer Nature Camp at Pemberton Historical Park

Summer Nature Camp is a day camp for children who enjoy exploring and learning about the natural world around them. There are camps available for children ages 4-14. Nature camps provide lots of learning opportunities and tons of hands-on outdoor fun! Registrants receive a camp t-shirt and snacks and drinks are provided. Payment must be received at time of registration. A minimum of 10 campers are required to hold each Camp session. Maximum number is 25 per camp. Camps fill quickly, so please register early. Camp will be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not reached and enrolled registrants will be notified at least one week prior to camp session start date. Registration fee will be forfeited if participant cancels less than 1 week before camp session start date. *Friends of Pemberton members receive $10 discount on each camp session. 3rd Wednesday Lectures

When: Wednesday, December 16 - Jim Rapp of Delmarva Low Impact Tourism Experiences
Time(s): 7:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.
Where: Pemberton Park
Cost: $4 person; $12 family of four; Free Friends of Pemberton

This great new lecture series will feature all that is the Eastern Shore. Hear from local experts on topics such as history, science, environmental studies, art and culture. Lectures take place the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Education Center at 7:30PM. Light refreshments will be served. Coming January 20th - Apiarist Dean Burroughs on the History of Beekeeping since Colonial Times.


 

Holiday Hike

When: Saturday, December 19
Time(s): 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Are the holidays leaving you feeling stressed? Join us for a brisk hike through Pemberton Park’s nature trail system and learn some ways to "chill out" this holiday season. End your hike with some warm refreshments and conversation in our Education Center.
