Advanced registration for
programs is suggested as class sizes are limited. Registration is
accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Programs may be
cancelled if enrollment does not meet minimum requirements.
For your convenience, there are three different ways to register for
our programs/special events:
Online
Online
registration is available by
clicking here, or you can look for the 'Register Online at
Active.com' icon throughout our web site. Payment using a Visa or
Mastercard must accompany online registrations. Active.com charges a
small, non-refundable processing fee to online registrants.
In Person
Register in person at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center Box Office,
open Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Acceptable
forms of payment include cash, check (personal or business), money
order, Visa or Mastercard. The minimum charge for credit card payments
is $20.
By Mail
Registrations will be accepted by mail but must include completed
registration form and one of the following acceptable forms of
payment: money orders, MasterCard, Visa, or business/personal check.
There is a minimum credit card charge of $20.
Eligibility and Fees
Wicomico County recreation programs are open to both residents and non-residents. Non-residents will pay an additional $5 to participate. If you have questions on eligibility or fees, please call 410-548-4900 ext. 114 or e-mail awisk@wicomicocounty.org.
Cancellations
When weather related emergencies are declared in Wicomico County and schools are closed, no youth programs will be held. Adult programs will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Call 410-548-4900 ext. 5 to hear a recorded listing of current program cancellations due to inclement weather.
Scholarships
The Department offers scholarships for youth recreation, after school and summer camp programs to those who qualify. Scholarship applications are available upon request from the Department office by calling 410-548-4900 or visiting our offices at 500 Glen Ave. Salisbury, Maryland.
Special Needs
The Department is committed to providing accessibility for individuals with special needs and strives to provide equal, integrated participation in all programs, activities, and services. We welcome questions, comments and concerns from parents and interested community members regarding accommodating special needs. If you or your child has a special need, please indicate so on the registration form.
Refund Policy
The request for a refund due to withdrawal from a program or lease arrangement must be made in writing to the Department received no later than one week prior to the first day of any activity (three weeks for pavilion rentals). No refunds will be given for boat slip rentals once a contract has been signed. All refunds granted are subject to a 10% fee for processing. Requests for refunds received later than the established deadline will not be honored. Approved refunds will be sent to the registrant within 30 days from the date of approval.
Photo Policy
Pictures taken of participants in our programs may be used in our publications and our web page. If you do not wish for your or your child's photograph to be used, please contact the Department at 410-548-4900.
