Adopt a Park Program Overview
In order to enhance the quality, usability and beauty of our parks, Wicomico County Recreation, Parks and Tourism Department is inviting volunteer groups to assist with clean up, preservation, awareness and maintenance of our parks.
Who Can Participate
Volunteers groups from civic organizations, fraternal organizations, social clubs, neighborhood associations, faith-based organizations, schools or businesses are all welcome to participate. All participants must be 18 years or older unless supervised by an adult.
Adopting a Park Procedure
A representative of an interested group must complete the application and submit for review. The Department and the Recreation and Parks Commission will review the application. If approved, the Department will notify the group and schedule a follow up meeting to discuss the adoption. Park adoption is for a one year period and may be renewed annually with Department and Commission approval.
